Now, in my family's house we have allergies. And one of those allergies happens to be cow's milk. After finding out about the allergy to cow's milk I started trying new recipes. One of my personal favorites was a vegan chocolate chip cookie recipe or as I call it dairy-free. The recipe calls for dairy-free chocolate chips but I used chopped-up dried cranberries. But you can use any kind of dried fruit or chocolate chips you want to. Here is the recipe:

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup dairy-free soy margarine, melted and cooled slightly
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups dairy-free chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 375 F. Set aside an ungreased baking sheet.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, sugars, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt until well combined. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, and pour in the dairy-free margarine, egg, and vanilla. Working from the outside in, pull the dry ingredients into the wet until forming a soft, tough dough.
- Form 1" balls with the dough and place on the cookie sheet about 2" apart. Bake for 12-16 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow cookies to cool on a wire cooling rack. Serve warm or at room temp. and enjoy!
My family and I absolutely loved these cookies. This recipe was fun, easy, and quick to make. I would definitely make this recipe again. I would also recommend this recipe to those of you who are allergic to dairy. Thank you so much for reading my very first blog post! Don't forget to request your favorite recipe!
